Intune, who?

You might be asking yourself, “what the hell is Intune?” Well, don’t fret, because I am here to answer your questions. You are likely here because you already know the people behind Intune and, for that, we thank you. But, if you don't, we are especially glad you are here.

The older I get, the more I care about ingredient labels, whether it be food, skin care, makeup or household cleaner. I am not into getting tricked, ya know what I mean? I don’t like to purchase something with the word “natural” across a beautiful, green leaf on the label, only to find that it’s filled with toxins and synthetics. Furthermore, I like new things, I like to be on the pulse… Intune, if you will.

So, I try new skin care and new makeup to see what all the hype is about. What can I say? It is 2019 and I am trying to apply my vitamin C serum, let my highlight shine and fill in these brows! I buy the popular products. But, then I started reading labels and researching ingredients, only to realize that these cult favorite products are filled with plastics, pig fat, harmful dyes, petroleum, etc. So basically, I should give my favorite lip balm to my mechanic and never let it touch my lips again.

You can easily go down a rabbit hole of cosmetic research while trying to figure out which brand is best suited for you. Some companies thrive off of it’s aesthetic but lack quality ingredients, some are 100% vegan but may have 10 year old kids working in factories to get the products shipped. Whatever the case, I think transparency is key. There is no universally perfect formula or company. So, I encourage everyone to find what is best for you and your individual needs. The more honest we can be about ingredients, sourcing and product capability, the better.

After years of thinking about it, Intune was born. Intune products are safe and effective, but above all, we strive to be educational and transparent. Intune is a community that invites conversation on topics that go beyond skin, encourages balance and doesn’t take life so seriously. Because let’s be honest, we should all be laughing and enjoying life a little more. We hope this inspires you to get Intune.
